All of you music lovers out there know there is something special about owning a record compared to just downloading an mp3, or buying a cd (who buys cd’s anymore). Some photographers share that same sentiment towards shooting film compared to digital. People argue that records sound better than an mp3 and film has a better look then digital, but that is all subjective. What records and film fulfil is our desire for tactility in our ever growing virtual lives. We want things that we can touch, and have weight in our physical world. We want things that are not just represented by space on a computers hard drive.
